Grandma Betty sent a package the other day with a toy train that Riker's been talking about for some time. One of the lesser known engines in the Thomas the Tank Engine series, Whiff is a cheery and optimistic train whose job is to collect and haul the rubbish. He's either oblivious to the fact that the other trains think he's smelly, or he just doesn't care. Either way he's an endearing fellow (with dorky spectacles).

While visiting a nature fair the other morning, Riker asked to have his arm painted with Whiff. This lovely lady took the trouble to look up Whiff on her phone so she could paint him as precisely as possible!

Riker doesn't like to have his face painted but he was very proud of the green engine on his arm! When we got home, we compared it to the real deal and Riker approved of the likeness.

Thanks Grandma Betty for sending Whiff. Just wish you could have seen the look on his face when he opened the package!
